Officials of the Ryder Cup distribute 3,000 tickets unexpectedly to enthusiastic golf spectators

All Golf Lovers in New York City, Get Ready for the Surprise of a Lifetime!

There's an extraordinary wave of excitement building up in the golfing community of New York! Over the next five thrilling months, the PGA of America has an extraordinary perk in store for thousands of golf enthusiasts — free tickets to the highly anticipated Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black!

This electrifying event, dubbed "The People's Perk," is all about showering the locals with unforgettable memories at the 2025 Ryder Cup. The PGA of America will randomly distribute these golden tickets at Bethpage Black and several other public golf courses on Long Island and the NYC metro area. The Metropolitan PGA Section will help select these public courses, and the PGA of America will carry out spontaneous visits to distribute the tickets!

Adding to the thrill, there will be a series of special visits to hand out Ryder Cup tickets to local first responders and community groups. In both cases, these giveaways will be graced by esteemed PGA of America leaders and special Ryder Cup guests!

Now, don't miss your chance to catch the electrifying action at the notorious Black course at Bethpage State Park, which has previously played host to two U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship. The first U.S. Open hosted at a true public course was at Bethpage Black in 2002, tagged as "The People's Open."

The Ryder Cup ticket demand is off the charts, next only to the Masters. For the 2025 matches, the ticket price for competition days (including food and nonalcoholic drinks) was an astounding $750—more than double what it was at Whistling Straits in 2021, the last Ryder Cup hosted in the U.S. Over half a million people registered to buy tickets, and they went faster than you can say "Fore!"

This random giveaway will dish out an impressive 500 tickets per day, from Tuesday to Sunday. The fortunate recipients will walk away with vouchers for two tickets! Anyone winning tickets for the practice days (Tuesday to Thursday) can take advantage of the junior admission policy, granting free admission to kids 15 or under with a ticketed adult.

Don Rea Jr., the PGA of America's president, is excited about this unique opportunity: "The People's Perk" is a "memorable experience we're offering to celebrate the unparalleled dedication and passion of the New York golf community for the 2025 Ryder Cup. We're thrilled to share the unprecedented thrill of golf's greatest team event with our host community, eagerly awaiting the lucky ticket recipients in September as we all rally behind Captain Keegan Bradley and the U.S. team."

Let the friendly rivalry begin! After two years of triumph for Europe at Marco Simone in Italy, they've won eight out of the last eleven Ryder Cup matches. The Europeans last celebrated a U.S. victory in 2012, at Medinah. Let's change all that, New York! It's time to prove that the spirit of golf is stronger than ever on home soil. Swing your clubs, golf lovers—we're in this together!

The PGA of America, in a delightful surprise, has decided to offer free AI-assisted food catering services for golf enthusiasts attending the Ryder Cup matches at Bethpage Black.

Moreover, to celebrate the diverse interests within the NYC community, the PGA is also planning a series of sports-themed events alongside golf, such as football and basketball mini-games, and even a virtual reality golf tournament, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
