Offenbach's Kickers Score Dominant 6:2 Victory over Hessen Kassel in the North-South Clash
In a thrilling encounter at the PSD Bank Arena, OFC dominated KSV Hessen Kassel, securing a comprehensive 6-2 victory.
The game began with OFC taking an early lead, thanks to Marc Wachs who scored from a free kick in the second minute. The visitors from Kassel struggled to find their footing, as OFC continued to press forward.
In the 28th minute, Berlinski doubled OFC's advantage, capitalising on a pass from Vincent Moreno. Dejanovic set up Berlinski for another goal just seven minutes later, making it 3-0.
Stephan Mensah scored a stunning solo goal in the 59th minute, darting across half the pitch before slotting home to make it 4-0. The crowd erupted once more in the 57th minute, as Wachs netted his second goal of the game from 30 meters out, extending OFC's lead to 5-0.
KSV Hessen Kassel managed to score two late consolation goals, with Hadzic finding the net in the 86th minute and Liesche Prieto following suit in the 87th minute. However, it was too little, too late, as the final whistle blew with the score at 6-2 in favour of OFC.
Looking ahead, OFC will be facing FSV Frankfurt on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 5:30 PM at the PSD Bank Arena. The team will also be playing against Eintracht Frankfurt II, but this game will not be played until a later date.
Boubacar Barry scored the opening goal of the North-South derby, marking another impressive performance for the OFC side. The team will be looking to carry this form into their upcoming matches, as they aim to continue their winning streak.
