"October Theater Release: Taylor Swift's Official Party Celebrating Her Showgirl Spectacle Features Premiere of 'Fate of Ophelia' Music Video and Insightful Analysis of Her Album"
Taylor Swift Returns to the Big Screen with "The Official Release Party of a Showgirl"
Taylor Swift is set to make a comeback on the big screen this October, with the announcement of "Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl." This special event will take place in thousands of theaters across North America from October 3 to October 5.
The event will be priced at a specially discounted rate of $12. It will feature the premiere of the music video for the song "The Fate of Ophelia," along with behind-the-scenes footage from the "Ophelia" video shoot, lyric videos for other songs on the album, and Swift's personal reflections about the new songs.
Max Martin and Shellback are returning as Swift's co-producers for the "Showgirl" album. The event will also include "cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music." Dancing is optional but encouraged during the event.
The "Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl" will barely be on screens for a fraction of the time the "Eras Tour" movie was. However, it will have competition on theater screens that weekend from the opening of the Dwayne Johnson movie "The Smashing Machine" and an "Avatar: The Way of Water" re-release.
Tickets for the event go on sale today at 12:12 p.m. ET. Countries where tickets for showtimes will go on sale this coming Tuesday include Canada, Mexico, the U.K., France, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Other countries will get the film on a later weekend in October, to be announced on or around Oct. 3.
Audiences are allowed to sing and dance during the event, but they must not stand on seats or block any aisles or stairs. It is advised to arrive at least 25 minutes before the showtime to secure a good seat, and arriving even one minute past showtime is not advised. The event will not include trailers or ads.
The "Eras Tour" movie, distributed by AMC Theatres Distribution, grossed $181 million at the domestic box office and $262 million worldwide. This new event promises to be another exciting chapter in Swift's successful career.
For those outside of AMC Theatres in North America, tickets can be found at releasepartyofashowgirl.com. The event will be shown in more than a hundred countries outside the U.S.
Don't miss out on this special event and be a part of Taylor Swift's "Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl"!
