Terrebonne Vins & Histoire Festival: A Celebration of Wine and Culture
From August 8 to August 10, 2025, the Terrebonne Vins & Histoire Festival will take place on the scenic Île-des-Moulins. This annual event, presented by the SAQ (Société des alcools du Québec), promises a vibrant blend of wine tastings, cultural enrichment, gourmet food, and entertainment.
The festival will feature over 30 to 50 exhibitors, including Vignoble Rivière du Chêne, Domaine des Côtes d'Ardoises, and Domaine de Lavoie. Visitors can expect various tasting opportunities, paired with street food from food trucks, educational conferences, workshops, and guided tours with a sommelier.
The schedule is as follows:
- Friday, August 8: An opening evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, featuring DJ Geneviève Borne.
- Saturday, August 9: From 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with wine tastings, food trucks, conferences, and workshops.
- Sunday, August 10: From 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, continuing tastings and events.
Tickets range from $21 to $77, including entry and tastings. The event is promoted by the Union des producteurs agricoles and aims to promote sovereign and local food.
KAVA Montreal: A Culinary Journey
Located at 1130, rue Ottawa, Montreal, KAVA Montreal recently opened its doors. The menu at KAVA Montreal offers a fusion of sea and land products, drawing inspiration from the flavors of the Amalfi coast to the Greek islands.
Chef Keren JL, trained in starred establishments, is the chef at KAVA Montreal. The restaurant offers signature cocktails, a selection of wines, and a diverse menu that includes oysters at $1 each on Tuesdays, a table d'hôte menu on Wednesdays, and a festive brunch on Sundays from 11 am.
Mezze options at KAVA Montreal include bar tartare with tiger milk, shrimp and zucchini arancinis, beef keftas, and marinated watermelon, feta, and pistachio salad.
