Oberliga's Debut in Finnentrop/Bamenohl is a tough opening act

The football Oberliga team SG Finnentrop/Bamenohl is preparing for an action-packed 2025 season, with a series of friendly and league matches lined up. The team, coached by Jonas Ermes, has been making strides in their preparations, as evidenced by their recent test match against VfL Bochum's U23 team, currently in the Regionalliga.

Despite a challenging 3:2 loss against Bochum's U23 team, the match served as a valuable learning experience for Finnentrop/Bamenohl, particularly in defending while playing against the ball. However, the team bounced back swiftly, equalising four minutes after the first goal and eventually winning 4:2.

The team's upcoming schedule includes a training camp in Willingen on Friday, followed by a game against SC Willingen on Saturday at 13:00. The official Oberliga league match against SpVgg Erkenschwick e.V. is scheduled for April 17, 2025, at 17:00 UTC.

In the meantime, Finnentrop/Bamenohl will face off against several other teams in friendly matches. Notably, they will host VfL Bochum 1848 II on July 16, 2025, at 16:30. The team will also play at home against SpVgg Vreden and travel to TuS Ennepetal.

The team has been bolstered by the arrival of new players, according to coach Ermes, who has expressed satisfaction with the team's performance in the test match. The team's depth and quality have improved significantly, he added.

Other upcoming matches include a trip to Stimberg in Erkenschwick on August 17, a game against Arminia Bielefeld II, a home game against Preußen Münster II, and a trip to Wattenscheid 09. The season will end with an away game against SV Schermbeck on December 14, and the return game against ASC Dortmund will take place on February 1.

ASC Dortmund, a top non-promoted team of the 2024/25 season, will play at Bamenohl Castle on August 10. The team finished in 3rd place in the previous season and scored 81 goals, making them the most prolific team.

Finnentrop/Bamenohl's home games will be played at the H&R Arena Bamenohl, with the first match scheduled for July 5, 2025, at 18:00. For comprehensive and updated details, fans are encouraged to visit the official club website.
