Chillin' with the NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Answers for Your Friday Fun
Raring to tackle today's NYT Mini crossword puzzles? Don't sweat it, we've got your back with some extra hints and the answers for today's NYT Mini.
The NYT Mini is a breezy little sibling of the newspaper's larger and long-running crossword that's perfect for a quick mental workout during a short break. Most days, the puzzles consist of between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but they sometimes stretch out a bit, especially on Saturdays[2][4].
Unlike its beefier counterpart, the NYT Mini is completely free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you may need a Games subscription to access the past puzzles in the archives.
Here's what's going down in today's NYT Mini Crossword:

I managed to complete today's NYT Mini in 0:41. It took me the same amount of time to finish up yesterday's one as well. Seems like I enjoyed this one even more because of references to other NYT games like Connections and Strands. And, who can resist a clever 1 Across clue with a Stone Age touch to it?
As for my solve, I botched up EXACT and LET'S on the first pass. I didn't get LOCKS when I went through the Down clues, but I triumphantly filled in the remaining squares as I made my way back to the Across side.
See you again in two weeks for another round of NYT Mini fun!

Enrichment Data:
- English Unit of Length for Miles: A mile (symbol: mi) is a unit of distance in the International System of Units (SI). The decimal multiples of this unit are the kilometer, meter, centimeter, and millimeter[1].
- Description of the NYT Mini Crossword: The New York Times Mini Crossword is a daily, smaller and speedier version of the original New York Times Crossword. It's designed to be incrementally quicker and easier to solve, with fewer clues and more cryptic clues[2].
- Stone Age: In geology, the Stone Age, or Paleolithic period (about 2.59 million to about 11,700 years ago), was a historical epoch ending with the advent of the Neolithic revolution, or agriculture and settled communities[3].
- Crossword or Connect the Dots: Crosswords and connect the dots are both popular word and number games consisting of completing patterns to uncover hidden words and numbers. Crosswords, however, are given as pre-arranged grids containing words to uncover by connecting letters vertically or horizontally, while connect the dots uses a random pattern of dots to connect to form a pictorial image or a series of numbers[4].
If you're in the mood for some additional word challenges, consider diving into books, engaging on social-media platforms, or watching movies-and-tv shows. The NYT Mini Crossword solution can be a great complement to these forms of entertainment. Haven't you ever thought about forming a word game community on social media or creating a spin-off of the NYT Mini called "Books Mini," "Social-Media Mini," or "Movies-and-TV Mini"? It could be an exciting new venture for entertainment enthusiasts!
