In case you're scratching your head about directions, the opposite of WSW is ENE.
Now let's dive into today's clues and answers:
NYT Mini Crossword Clues and Answers
NYT Mini Across Answers
1 Across: Direction opposite of WSW - ENE
4 Across: Shoot out, as lava from a volcano - SPEW
5 Across: "In what place?" - WHERE
6 Across: Plants you didn't plant, perhaps - WEEDS
7 Across: Similar to Mini crosswords (in terms of difficulty) and a phonetic description of this puzzle - EASY
NYT Mini Down Answers
1 Down: Fencing swords - EPEES
2 Down: Afflicted with geekiness - NERDY
3 Down: Farm animals that sound like missing vowels in this puzzle - EWES
4 Down: Famous stadium where the Beatles made history in 1965 - SHEA
5 Down: Wrestling organization for stars like Hulk Hogan and John Cena - WWE
It took me 0:41 to solve today's NYT Mini. Not bad, but the self-referential clues like "EASY" and "3 Down" can be a bit too obvious at times.
I didn't struggle much with the Across clues except for guessing "easiness" instead of EASY. The Down answers were straightforward, but a hiccup with "nerdy" instead of NERDY slowed me down for a couple of seconds.
See you tomorrow for more NYT Mini excitement!
