This puzzle was a twist since there were circular clues in the middle rows. By figuring out the patterns, you get OOHLALA which is your key for 9-Across, WOW. Many of these clues were quite straightforward, such as the lovable EGG who wears a crown after a plunge in Humpty Dumpty's tale. We all know Pooh Bear and his reddish outfit! An ATLASES, of course, is essential for any globe-trotting adventurer. It's no brainier to interpret HOLA as the amicable greeting in Spanish that aligns neatly with ADIOS.
With these answers in hand and some mental dexterity, you'll conquer this crossword like a pro. This one took me 1:15.
