The Solution to Today's Connections
Curious to know how I cracked this puzzle? Read the tale of my triumph below.
It seemslike Articulate, Elaborate, Pen, Script, and Write could all be grouped together as verbs associated with writing thoughts down. If compelled to eliminate one, thatd probably be Pencil, but I'll hold off, just in case.
Bond, Ocean, and Wick might be the last names of action-packed movie characters – James Bond, Danny Ocean, and Neo (for John Wick).
Wick and Candle initially seem like an obvious pairing, but I couldn't figure out what would go with them.
Chop and Dice potentially go together as ways to cut up, but I couldn't find any obvious connections beyond those.
I'm not making much progress, so I’ll try Articulate, Elaborate, Pen, Script, and Write. 🟨 Alas, no triumph yet.
I think I’ll add Jones to the Ocean, Bond, and Wick category and see if that helps. 🟦 Wow, I wasn't anticipating that to work! Rejoice, Indiana Jones is in the building!
Dice, Cups, and Pencil seem like they could be items used in board games. Scorecard is the final piece of the puzzle. 🟩 Victory is achieved!
Lastly, Candle, Chop, Joy, and Yard all seem to go hand in hand in a fill-in-the-blank puzzle. Sticks seems to be the common thread here. 🟪
An Overview of Connections
Want to know more about the Connections game? Read on for a quick guide!
Find the NYT Connections game either on their website or in their app – formerly known as the Crossword app. You'll see a game board with 16 tiles, each with one word or phrase.
