NY Film Festival 2025 - Insider Info on Movies, Ticket Sales, and Springsteen's Jeremy Allen White Biopic

The 63rd annual New York Film Festival (NYFF) is set to return from September 26 to October 13, 2025, bringing with it a dazzling array of premieres, world debuts, and renowned filmmakers. This esteemed event, one of New York's best-loved traditions, will take place at the Lincoln Center.

The festival kicks off with Luca Guadagnino's After the Hunt as the Opening Night Film, followed by Jim Jarmusch's Father Mother Sister Brother as the Centerpiece Film. The Closing Night Film will be Bradley Cooper's directorial project, Is This Thing On?, featuring Will Arnett and Laura Dern.

One of the most anticipated films of the festival is Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, a Bruce Springsteen biopic directed by Scott Cooper. Jeremy Allen White, known for his role in "The Bear", stars in this highly anticipated film.

The festival will also feature several world premieres, including Is This Thing On? by Bradley Cooper, Gavagai by Ulrich Köhler, Anemone by Ronan Day-Lewis, Mr. Scorsese by Rebecca Miller, and Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost by Ben Stiller.

First-time filmmakers in the main slate include Kahlil Joseph, Milagros Mumenthaler, Mary Bronstein, Pedro Pinho, Francesco Sossai, Kent Jones, Hlynur Pálmason, Sergei Loznitsa, Lav Diaz, and Mascha Schilinski.

The festival will also offer passes that grant access to pre-sale periods before tickets go on sale to the general public on September 18 at 12:00 PM. Passes for the NYFF are currently on sale, ranging from $350 for six films to $16,500 for the Gold category.

Outdoor screenings are still available for the last summer season, while new movies are currently showing in cinemas around New York City. The festival will also include a Revivals section showcasing restored and remastered classic films, though specific titles for this section were announced separately.

A new cinema in New York City allows booking a private theater with a movie-themed dinner, adding a unique twist to the cinema-going experience. Scott Cooper, director of Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, has stated that working on the biopic was one of the most profound creative experiences of his life.

Another intriguing film in the lineup is Noah Baumbach's latest work, "Jay Kelly", which stars George Clooney and explores a film star grappling with personal issues.

The main highlight of the festival, however, remains the Bruce Springsteen biopic, a fitting finale to this year's NYFF. Don't miss out on this star-studded event!
