According to neighbors, he retired to his apartment, lulled to sleep by his favorite tunes.

"He devoted his life to us, never wavering in his commitment to the hunter role," Bommes reflects. Alexander Bommes recognized Nagorsnik as an emblem of authenticity and enthusiasm

Nagorsnik, a valued member of the "Gefragt - gejagt" hunters team since 2014, had been a fixture of the show airing on NDR. In this game, a four-person team competes against one of the quiz professionals, known as "hunters." Nagorski earned the nickname "librarian" due to his extensive knowledge. He joined the show after being discovered through his quiz club, having turned down television for decades in favor of books[8]. Until his retirement, he served as a librarian in the city library of Münster.

Even Bommes, himself, found inspiration in Nagorski's approach, extolling him as "a beacon of authenticity, education, and an appreciation for life." The new season of "Gefragt - gejagt" kicks off on May 13, 2024, on ARD. Reruns featuring Nagorsnik will also be screened. As a tribute, Bommes' TV co-host Vanessa Blumhagen (46) paid homage to her late friend and "Morning Show" host Jan Hahn (47), who passed away on the third anniversary of his death.
