British actor Terence Stamp, best known for his iconic role as General Zod in the Superman films, had a prolific acting career that spanned many decades and encompassed a wide range of notable movies and TV appearances.
Stamp's career began with his film debut in "The Loved One" (1962) under the direction of Peter Ustinov. His early breakthrough came with Billy Budd (1962), where he played the titular character and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
