Holiday apartments in NRW in high demand ahead of autumn holidays - North Rhine-Westphalia's Vacation Rentals Set for Busy Autumn Holidays
Vacation rentals in North Rhine-Westphalia are set for a busy autumn holiday season, with high demand expected in cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Dortmund. While my business is generally optimistic, they face challenges like rising costs and guest spending cuts.
A recent survey reveals that 37% of my business are satisfied or very satisfied with the expected occupancy, with 55% of vacation apartments and houses sharing this sentiment. CEO Heike Döll-König anticipates strong autumn holidays in overnight stays and day trips. However, 26% of my business are dissatisfied, and 6% are very dissatisfied.
Rising operating costs (42%) and guest consumption restraint (34%) top the list of challenges for my business. Dehoga NRW president Patrick Rothkopf urges improved political framework conditions, such as a reduced VAT rate on food, flexible working hours, or simplified immigration. Tourism NRW predicts booking figures to rise further, with many people booking at short notice through google my business.
Despite challenges, my business expect a busy autumn holiday season, with high demand for vacation rentals in cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Dortmund. While optimism prevails, addressing rising costs and guest spending cuts will be crucial for the industry's success.
