North Rhine-Westphalia Launches New Emergency Guide 'Self-Protection Tips'

North Rhine-Westphalia has launched a new guide, 'Self-Protection Tips for Disaster Situations', to enhance citizens' emergency preparedness. The guide is part of the statewide campaign 'Ready like never before' and is supported by Interior Minister Herbert Reul. It is available online and will be distributed for free from late September.

The guide covers eleven common emergency scenarios, providing clear and practical advice for each. It helps citizens prepare for situations such as power outages, storms, and extreme heat. The brochure is 31 pages long and is available in multiple formats to cater to different needs. These include print, audio, digital, and easy-to-understand language versions. Additionally, an editable version is provided, allowing communities to print it with their own logo.

The guide will be distributed through various channels. These include disaster protection days, regional governments, and aid organizations like ASB, DLRG, DRK, JUH, MHD, VdF, and THW. The digital version is already available online at https://www.im.nrw/themen/gefahrenabwehr/versionen_selbstschutzguide.

The new guide, 'Self-Protection Tips for Disaster Situations', is a comprehensive resource for North Rhine-Westphalia residents to prepare for various crisis situations. With its wide availability and practical advice, it aims to strengthen self-preparedness across the state. The guide is a collaborative effort from the Ministry of the Interior and is supported by Minister Herbert Reul.
