In the world of Formula 1, the spotlight is on Baku as the Azerbaijan Grand Prix approaches. The final free practice session took place yesterday, with some exciting developments unfolding.

Lando Norris, the 25-year-old British driver competing in a McLaren, set the fastest lap of the session. The Australian driver Oscar Piastri, who leads the championship standings, came in third, 0.222 seconds slower than Norris. Max Verstappen, a four-time world champion driving a Red Bull, finished second.

The session was affected by wind gusts of up to 30 km/h, adding an extra challenge to the drivers. Despite the windy conditions, Piastri maintained his strong position, coming in third in the session. Verstappen, who last tasted victory in Italy, ended the session in second place.

Charles Leclerc, who has taken pole in the last four years but never won, finished tenth in the session. Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, finished fourth in the Ferrari. Nico Hülkenberg, the only German driver in the field, was twelfth in the Sauber.

Today, the qualifying session for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place at 14:00 CEST (MESZ/Sky). The starting positions for the race on Sunday will be determined during this session, and Max Verstappen is likely to secure the Pole Position. He set the fastest qualifying time in the latest results.

The race will take place on an approximately 6.003km long track in Baku. The Azerbaijan Grand Prix is part of the Formula 1 series, and the excitement is building as we approach the race weekend. Stay tuned for more updates!
