Nordhorn's City Administration Advances Infrastructure Projects
Nordhorn's city administration is pushing forward with several infrastructure projects. Tenders for the extension of Jantje-Anleger and lighting works are imminent. The creation of Heideweg has been confirmed, and a wheelchair-accessible toilet container is set to be installed at 'my location' 3. Meanwhile, the 'City by the Water' project has received planning approval.
The city is moving ahead with its plans to extend the Jantje-Anleger and upgrade lighting, with tenders to be issued soon after funding is secured. The creation of Heideweg from Mathildenstraße to Gildehauser Weg has been officially confirmed, improving connectivity in the city.
The administration is also actively seeking a permanent location for a second wheelchair-accessible toilet facility in the city center. In the meantime, a temporary solution has been found. A rental company will install a container at 'my location' 3, replacing the closed facilities at the ZOB until a new one is built at the Stadtsee.
The 'City by the Water' project has received a significant boost. The Administrative Committee of Nordhorn approved its planning status on September 17, following the presentation of draft documents at the Urban Development Committee meeting on August 25. The project's implementation will now proceed according to these plans.
Nordhorn's city administration is committed to improving infrastructure and accessibility. With tenders for key projects on the horizon, the creation of Heideweg confirmed, and temporary wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities in place at 'my location' 3, the city continues to develop and adapt to meet the needs of its residents and visitors.
