Clearing Up Nordhausen: A Green Movement by the Town's Students
A group of diehard fifth-graders at the Humboldt-Gymnasium in Nordhausen are on a mission to save the environment! Armed with gloves, tongs, and bags, they descended upon the city park and Zorge's banks, determined to clean up the litter that blighted the natural beauty. Alongside the typical trash like plastic, cigarettes, and diapers, these intrepid students managed to collect an old computer, countless cans, and bottles. The initiative was a joint effort with the district's waste management, with the participants given the opportunity to bin their collected debris in a trash truck at the end of the session.
Mark your calendars, folks! The world unites for a massive clean-up on September 20. It's time for all of us to lend a helping hand to protect our beloved home. You can join the city and district of Nordhausen in their mission for a tidier, healthier environment by participating in the clean-up efforts happening from September 13 to 20. Check out cleanup-nordhausen.de for further information.
