General Hospital Stars Shine at 2025 Daytime Emmys

The 2025 Daytime Emmy Award nominations have been announced, and several actors from the popular soap opera, General Hospital, are among the nominees for Outstanding Supporting Actor.

Tajh Bellow, who plays the role of TJ Ashford, is a strong contender for his portrayal of a grieving parent. Bellow's character grappled with grief, a murder frame, and fatherhood after losing his love. His performance as TJ Ashford, a grieving parent rebuilding his life without his partner, was one of the best of the year.

Bellow's character, TJ Ashford, had to pick up the pieces of his shattered dream without his partner Molly (Kristen Vaganos). Bellow delivered two versions of heartbreak simultaneously as Molly was incapable of helping TJ mourn their daughter or be a common-law wife to him.

Another nominee from General Hospital is Jonathan Jackson, who returned to the show as Lucky Spencer and was involved in several life-or-death scenarios. Jackson's character learned that his sister tried to kill the love of his life Elizabeth, adding another layer of complexity to his character.

Gregory Harrison, who played the role of Gregory Chase, delivered a powerful performance as he struggled with ALS. Harrison's character made a profound impact on the lives of his family members and friends.

In a brief but significant stint on General Hospital, Gregory Harrison's character, Gregory Chase, had to show both sadness and anger as his character learned that his pseudo sister-in-law/surrogate had plans to keep his child.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Hearst plays the role of Elizabeth on General Hospital, and Jonathan Jackson's character learned that she tried to kill her.

On The Young and the Restless, Michael Graziadei's character Daniel Romalotti grappled with grief, a murder frame, and fatherhood after losing his love, Heather Stevens. Graziadei delivered a particularly impressive portrayal of a grieving man wrestling with the loss of his love while fighting for his freedom after being framed for her murder and supporting his daughter who lost her mother.

Blake Berris is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Everett/Bobby on Days of Our Lives. His nomination contributes to the show's significant presence in the 2025 Emmy nominations.

These actors were all acknowledged for their outstanding work during the 2024 calendar year on their respective soap operas, showcasing a range of intense and layered character portrayals.
