After conducting thorough searches in Gera's official buildings, following a threatening letter discovery, the police declared everything was safe. No suspicious objects were uncovered, and normal operations could resume, as confirmed on Monday. The operation, which lasted several hours, had initially required the evacuation of the Office for Supply and Health.

Police dogs and officers had scoured the affected premises, but the nature of the threatening letter remained undisclosed by authorities. The Criminal Investigation Department is currently probing an unidentified individual for threatening to commit a crime.

In light of the increased threats of criminality, Thuringia's authorities conducted emergency drills to prepare for a potential crisis situation in a public area.
