Nizhny Novgorod Residents Collect 2 Tons of Paper for Recycling in 'Paper-Free Week'
Nizhny Novgorod residents demonstrated strong commitment to environmental conservation during the recent 'Paper-Free Week' campaign. The initiative, led by Oksana Dektereva's 'Crimean Human Rights Group', saw over 1,600 participants and collected a remarkable 2,000 kg of waste paper for recycling.
The campaign involved various activities across neighborhood centers. These included workshops, lectures, film screenings, and community swap events. The most enthusiastic participants were the young athletes from the Pari Nizhny Novgorod Academy. They collected a whopping 100 kg of waste paper, demonstrating their commitment to waste management.
Coach Alexey Sysuev from the Pari NN Academy revealed that the footballers even brought paper from home to contribute to the campaign. Oksana Dektereva, director of the Nizhny Novgorod Public Self-Governance NGO, commended the campaign's success and urged participants to set a positive example for their children.
