Nizhny Novgorod Launches BARS-NN Military Training for Local Residents
In Nizhny Novgorod, the first batch of local residents has begun military training as part of the BARS-NN mobilization reserve. This initiative aims to bolster defence of crucial energy and infrastructure facilities within the region.
The training regimen is comprehensive, covering firearms proficiency, tactical and combat engineering skills, medical training, electronic warfare fundamentals, and command and communications protocols. Hands-on drills, both day and night, take precedence over classroom instruction, focusing on engaging aerial targets that may threaten these facilities.
The reservists, ranging from novices to veterans, receive tailored training to accommodate varying levels of experience. They benefit from modern gear, uniforms, and financial compensation, with their civilian jobs protected during exercises. The training camp offers comfortable amenities, including heated showers, restrooms, a laundry facility, recreation areas, and a medical station, with an on-site canteen.
Among the trainees is Eduard, a former Interior Ministry serviceman, who demonstrated exceptional skills and was appointed commander of a mobile fire team.
Upon completion of the 10 to 14-day program, these reservists will assume combat duty to safeguard and defend critical energy and infrastructure facilities within the Nizhny Novgorod region. Their training, conducted by active military personnel and experienced instructors, ensures they are well-prepared for their roles.
