Winter Returns to Nizhny Novgorod Region in April

The second day of April's unseasonal winter has begun in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

According to the Nizhny Novgorod city administration, over 15 cm of snow fell in less than 24 hours on April 20. Forecasters expect an additional 14 mm of precipitation—both snow and rain—throughout the day.

Overnight, road crews conducted full-scale anti-icing treatments on the roads. Over the past day, more than 480 tons of de-icing materials were used, and over 3,500 cubic meters of water were pumped away.
