Nizhny Novgorod debuts at Russia's Children's Goods Industry Congress 2024

The 16th Children's Goods Industry Congress (CIC; 0+) is set to take place in Moscow from May 12 to 14. Nizhny Novgorod will be the first Russian region to participate, showcasing its well-established children's goods industry at the event. Organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Association of Children's Goods Industry Enterprises, the congress will bring together key players from across the country. Nizhny Novgorod's participation includes an exhibition by the local Children's Goods Industry Cluster, which currently unites 45 companies. The region's stand will feature a themed area with a children's rental service display, a playroom, and a dedicated mother-and-child room. A negotiation zone will also be available for meetings with potential clients, alongside a multimedia installation highlighting the regional 'Gift for Newborns' initiative.

The business programme will cover a range of topics, including legislative developments in the industry, the progress of national projects, and the nationwide 'Rodnaya Igushka' (Native Toy) competition. Over 30 events are planned throughout the three-day congress, offering opportunities for networking and collaboration. The Nizhny Novgorod regional government is supporting the event as a partner. Similar industry clusters have also emerged in Moscow, Sverdlovsk (Yekaterinburg), Ivanovo, and Rostov, reflecting growing regional engagement in the children's products sector.

The congress will provide a platform for companies from the Nizhny Novgorod Region and beyond to connect with industry leaders. With a packed schedule of discussions and exhibitions, the event aims to strengthen ties within the sector. Participation from multiple regions signals a broader push to develop Russia's children's goods market.
