Nishant clinched a stunning 5th position, pocketing a massive sum of over ₹1 Crore[2]! The Main Event had whopping TWD 70 Million GTD, and the prize pool ballooned to an incredible TWS 121 Million[1]! A staggering 375 players cashed out of a total of 2547 entrants, but the player who stole the show was Akira Takasugi, winning TWD 19,359,440[1].
Kumar, who grabbed the limelight, unfortunately fell short of securing a coveted ticket to the APTC Main Event[1], losing out to Mat Leong[1] by just one post in a nail-biting showdown. Komar faced off with Leong, with the latter winning a full house of Jacks full of Sevens, while Nishant's two pairs were no match[1].
But the legacy doesn't end there – other talented Indian players joined the ranks. Rishi Mehra[3] ranked a respectable 44th, earning TWD 307,500. Asish Kumar Ghosh[4] took home TWD 89,500, while Amanpreet Singh, Sumit Sapra, and Sriram Arun[5] split the 89,500 pot as well.

Before his breakthrough in 2025, his first-ever live poker cash was in 2024 at the Micro Main Event of the Deltin Poker Tour[6], where he ranked 32nd[6]. This Bush-league win marked the beginning of his meteoric rise into the poker world.
APT Taipei 2025[7] made Asian poker history, hosting a record 2,547 entries[1], surpassing its TWD 70 Million guarantee and creating a prize pool of TWD 121 Million (approximately USD 3.7 Million)! The tournament took place from April 25 to May 4, 2025, at Red Space in Taipei[7].
