Ninth installment of Women's Film Festival takes place

The 9th Women's Film Festival is set to take place at Lichtspielkino, Untere Königsstraße 34, Bamberg, from September 28 to October 5, 2025. This year's festival promises an exciting lineup of seven diverse films, all directed by women and featuring strong female leads.

"Wunderschön", a sequel to the dramatic comedy "Wunderschön", will be screened on September 28, 2025, at 11:30 AM and October 1, 2025, at 6:15 PM. Fans of the original film will not want to miss this continuation.

Other films included in the festival lineup are "Samia", a film about Somali runner Samia Yusuf Omar, "Toni and Helene", a moving story about friendship, loss, and the power of memory, and "Niki de Saint Phalle", a documentary about the life and work of the rebellious artist.

The Women's Film Festival is a collaboration between several organizations, including the Katholische Arbeitnehmerbewegung (KAB), Katholischer Deutscher Frauenbund (KDFB), Medienzentrale of the Archdiocese of Bamberg, ver.di District Oberfranken-West, equal opportunities offices of the city and district of Bamberg, Health Department of Bamberg, and Soroptimist International Club Bamberg-Wilde Rose.
