In terms of new releases, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch on May 29, 2025. This updated remaster of the Nintendo GameCube classic features enhanced graphics, promising an even more immersive experience.

While the exact release date is not yet confirmed, sources suggest that Luigi's Mansion 2 HD will also be launching on the Nintendo Switch in 2025, likely before or around mid-2025. This spooky fun adventure game follows Luigi as he retrieves missing shards of the Dark Moon.

Pre-orders for both Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD are available on the Nintendo eShop and on Nintendo.com.

Furthermore, LEGO Super Mario has unveiled a teaser for a future addition to the LEGO Super Mario universe, which appears to be Mario Kart.

Shigeru Miyamoto, the legendary video game designer, announced that Nintendo is working together with Illumination on a new animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros. The film is set to be released on April 3, 2026, in the US and many other markets globally.
