Nine seldom-played tracks by Iron Maiden should be unearthed for their 2026 Run For Your Lives performances
After a long wait, Iron Maiden has announced their return to Europe for a summer tour in 2026. The tour, titled 'Run For Your Lives,' will visit new markets such as Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovakia, as well as returning to some of their most beloved venues.
The tour will consist of 11 dates, including a return to Paris' La Défense Arena. However, there is a mysterious UK date on July 11 that fans are eagerly awaiting.
One of the most exciting aspects of the tour is the setlist, which will feature material exclusively from Iron Maiden's first nine albums, ranging from Iron Maiden to Fear Of The Dark. Some of the fan-favourite tracks that have not been performed in decades will make a comeback, such as 'Sun And Steel,' which has never been performed since its release more than 40 years ago.
Other tracks that have gone unperformed for many years include '22 Acacia Avenue,' 'Infinite Dreams,' 'Flash Of The Blade,' 'Be Quick Or Be Dead,' and 'Tailgunner.' It has been 20 years since Iron Maiden last performed 'Remember Tomorrow,' and Bruce Dickinson's vocal heroics and Adrian Smith's masterful songwriting will once again shine in this Paul Di'Anno-era track.
Steve Harris has expressed interest in performing 'The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner' from the Somewhere In Time album. Fans can also look forward to some of the band's most iconic tracks, such as 'Run To The Hills,' 'The Number Of The Beast,' and 'Aces High.'
The tour will kick off in Athens, Greece on May 23, followed by dates in Hannover, Germany, Sofia, Bulgaria, Bucharest, Romania, Bratislava, Slovakia, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Paris, France. Phones will be banned during the Paris show, and filming will take place for an upcoming release.
Iron Maiden fans are already counting down the days until the tour begins, eager to witness some of their favourite tracks that have not been performed in decades. The 'Run For Your Lives' tour is sure to be an unforgettable experience for fans old and new.
