Saying Goodbye to Nine Players:SVG Lueneburg's Major Volleyball Roster Shake-up
Nine team members of Luneburg's volleyball squad have presented reasons for their absence - Nine excursions for Lüneburg volleyball team members
Kickin' it with SVG Lueneburg, baby! The volleyball giants are facing a significant transformation. Serious shifts are afoot in the ranks of the "Luen-Huens". From the second-placed squad in last season's Bundesliga and the quarterfinalists in the Champions League, only a trio—namely, Joscha Kunstmann, Axel Larsen, and Neo Laumann—are left standin' tall.
Not only are Gage Worsley and the cap'n, Theo Mohwinkel, hoppin' ship, but top scorer Xander Ketrzynski, Simon Torwie, Blake Leeson, Lorenz Karlitzek, Michael Wright, Cole Ketrzynski, and Oskar Espeland are also hightailin' it outta there. The only confirmation we've got about Worsley's destination is Arago de Sete/France.
Two newbies have been signed so far: the Japanese libero, Sho Takahashi (previously from Czestochowa/Poland), and the Swedish outside hitter, Daniel Gruvaeus (Volleys Herrsching). More reinforcements are on the way soon, no doubt!
As SVG coach Stefan Hübner puts it, "The new squad is set, and with the encouragement and adoration of Lueneburg's fans, it's gonna be solid once more – I can't frickin' wait!" Thanks to their runner-up finish in the Bundesliga, Lueneburg already boasts a ticket to the next season's Champions League.
