Freedom Rolls In for Eleven Israelli Hostages

Seventeen individuals, including nine children and two women, have regained their freedom from the Gaza Strip, as per the Israeli military's announcement. These individuals are currently under the supervision of the Red Cross.
In response, 33 female and minor Palestinian prisoners will be discharged. Previous reports suggested that several Thai hostages stationed in Gaza would also be set free.
The miracle of liberation has touched 58 souls, including 8 German dual citizens, with 117 Palestinians walking the path to freedom from incarceration.
According to Israeli media on February 6, disagreements arose concerning the lists of hostages and Palestinian prisoners exchanged. Israel criticized the separation of mothers from their children, which contradicted the original agreement.
Ceasefire Prolongation
Mediation efforts by Qatar led to an extension of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas by another two days, it was declared.
A Hamas representative mentioned to Reuters that the same conditions should apply when it comes to the extension of the ceasefire. No statement from Israel followed immediately, but a representative of the USA, Israel's main ally, agreed to the extension. Details were not provided.
Earlier, Egypt's state information servicer, Diaa Rashwan, announced that an agreement was imminent. This would involve the release of 20 Israeli hostages in exchange for 60 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prisons.
The spokesperson for the Israeli government, Eilon Levi, revealed before Monday's release that 184 hostages were still held in the Gaza Strip, with 14 being foreigners and 80 being Israeli dual nationals.
The youngest among the hostages, a ten-month-old baby, remained unaccounted for. The infant was kidnapped with his parents and four-year-old sibling.
Despite ceasefire negotiations, the status of several Thai hostages, who were expected to be part of the exchange, remains unresolved. Although earlier reports suggested their release, it has yet to materialize.
