Nigo & Pharrell Williams Team Up for Louis Vuitton's Contemporary Dandy Look
Fashion powerhouses Louis Vuitton and Kenzo have their creative directors, Nigo and Pharrell Williams, collaborating on a contemporary menswear collection. The collection, co-designed for Paris Fashion Week Men's A/W 2025, celebrates friendship and streetwear's influence on high fashion.
Nigo, the Tokyo streetwear designer, invited Williams to collaborate on an album titled 'I Know Nigo' in 2022, further strengthening their bond. Their friendship dates back to 2013 when they co-founded Billionaire Boys Club. Now, they're bringing their shared vision to the world's most prestigious fashion stages.
Williams, who recently co-designed the Louis Vuitton menswear collection with Nigo, described their latest look as a contemporary 'dandy', lionizing streetwear and preserving it in the Louis Vuitton archive. The collection, set in 'An Archive of LVers', is a testament to Nigo's lifetime of object collecting and relationship influences. It features idiosyncratic accessories like a lobster-shaped handbag and 'Damier Phriendship' trunks, celebrating workwear silhouettes with pattern and embellishment.
Nigo and Williams, currently creative directors of Kenzo and Louis Vuitton menswear respectively, have left their mark on streetwear and high fashion. Their latest collaboration, a contemporary 'dandy' look, is a celebration of friendship and creative exchange, preserving streetwear's legacy in the Louis Vuitton archive.
