Night Meow Before Christmas: Fresno's Spookiest Cat Fundraiser
The Cat House on the Kings, California's largest no-cage, no-kill cat sanctuary and adoption center, is hosting a Halloween-themed fundraiser, 'Night Meow Before Christmas', on October 12 at Fulton 55 in Fresno. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for the rescue's mission to save cats and find them loving homes.
The Cat House on the Kings, established 33 years ago, has rescued an astonishing 53,861 cats and 7,928 dogs. On average, they save around 1500 cats each year. Their mission extends to educating the public about responsible pet ownership and preventing pet overpopulation. The sanctuary is always in need of volunteers, fosters, sponsors, and donations, which can be made by texting 'CATHOUSE' to 53-555 or visiting their website.
The 'Night Meow Before Christmas' fundraiser, inspired by 'The Nightmare Before Christmas', promises a fun-filled evening with live music, raffles, and local artists. Raffle prizes include Chaffee Zoo passes, Yosemite Sugarpine Railroad passes, escape rooms, wine baskets, and Cat Haven family passes. A $5 cover charge at the door will go towards the rescue, with vendors also contributing. The event has previously visited cities like Clovis and Madera, helping the rescue reach more people locally and find more sponsors for their cats.
The Cat House on the Kings Night Meow Before Christmas is a fantastic opportunity to support a worthy cause while enjoying a festive evening. The event runs from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and every penny raised will go towards saving more cats and providing them with loving homes.
