Nigeria's Super Eagles Aim for World Cup Spot in CAF 2026 Qualifiers

Nigeria's Super Eagles are set to kick off their journey towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup, aiming to secure Africa's 10th slot in the intercontinental playoffs. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will soon determine the venues for the crucial matches, with Morocco's El Barid Stadium and Rabat's Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in the running.

The Super Eagles will commence their campaign in Rabat, Morocco, on Sunday, November 9, ahead of the first semi-final on Thursday, November 13. They will face Gabon's Panthers, with the winner advancing to the final. The NFF has confirmed the team's base in Rabat, where they will prepare for the intense matches. Eric Chelle's side is eager to make a strong impression and return to the World Cup after missing out on the 2022 edition in Qatar. The second semi-final will see Cameroon take on the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the winners of both semi-finals meeting in the final to secure a place in the intercontinental playoff.

Nigeria's Super Eagles are focused on qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the CAF draw set to reveal the venues for the matches. The team's camp in Rabat will serve as a crucial preparation ground for the semi-final against Gabon, with the ultimate goal being a spot in the intercontinental playoff.
