Nigeria's Leadership Skepticism: Ajiboye Argues Peter Obi Lacks Necessary Qualities

Biodun Ajiboye, the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation and a staunch APC member, has fired back at criticism, denying allegations that the APC aims to transform Nigeria into a one-party state.

Our sources report that Ajiboye attributes defections to the APC to good governance, pinning the blame on opposition parties for their disorganization. During an interview with Arise News, Ajiboye accused Peter Obi of tarnishing the nation's image and the APC's reputation.

Ajiboye asserted that Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, lacks the skills to lead the country, citing his inability to resolve internal party crises as the evidence. The CEO of NICO also criticized the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for its failure to offer genuine opposition.

"I don't think Nigeria is moving towards a one-party state," Ajiboye said. "These are mere expressions of fear or panic from people who can't keep up with the APC's pace. If Nigeria ever drifts into a one-party state, blame the opposition for not being able to provide credible opposition."

Ajiboye went on to point the finger at the Labour Party, arguing that despite being a relatively new party, it is self-destructing and incapable of presenting a strong opposition. He also noted that Peter Obi could wear traditional Hausa or Fulani garb or even speak in mosques, but his inability to lead remains certain.

"The PDP has only managed to destroy itself," Ajiboye continued. "They can't provide credible opposition. APC was in opposition when the PDP was in power, and we never abandoned our mission to offer Nigerians a viable alternative."

In his words, "If Peter Obi is not a worthy opposition, then why keep mentioning him? The Obidient Movement should direct their criticisms at those who can actually make a difference."
