Mack, who has been remarkably durable in his tenure with the team, starting 52 of 53 games, collided with a teammate while tackling Geno Smith during a game.
Mack's return to the Chargers this season was influenced by the leadership under coach Jim Harbaugh and general manager Tom Telesco. Harbaugh described Mack as one of the toughest players he's ever seen, and the feeling seems to be mutual. Mack, despite playing through a groin injury last season, never at full strength, chose to return to the team after being an unrestricted free agent.
