If he does, teams could involve his name in NFL trade talks, making his future with the Jaguars uncertain.
The NFL salary cap system was introduced in the 1994 season, and the Jaguars will need to consider this when deciding whether to trade Etienne or not. The success of their rookie running backs could play a significant role in this decision.
