NFL superstar Tom Brady is delving deeper into the world of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) with the launch of his latest collection, "Live Forever: The Tom Brady Origins Collection". This exciting new venture, launched on his platform Autograph, has garnered support from a host of sports stars, including Naomi Osaka, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods, skateboarder Tony Hawk, and his Tampa Bay colleague Rob Gronkowski.
Brady, known for his sense of humour, joked about ensuring his collection sells out faster than Gronk's when discussing the potential oversaturation of the NFT market. The public drop for the collection will open on Dec. 9, giving fans a chance to get their hands on a piece of history.
Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen have partnered with crypto exchange FTX in a long-term deal, further solidifying their involvement in the crypto-system. The collection comprises 16,600 memorabilia from Brady's early NFL days, offering a unique insight into his career.
The collection will be available in the DraftKings marketplace, with Preseason Access Pass holders given priority access to start collecting from Dec. 7, 2021, at 5 pm ET. For these pass holders, a mystery container is available for purchase on DraftKings, which may contain items like Brady's College Resume, Combine Stopwatch, Rookie Draft Card, Combine Jersey, and Combine Cleats.
Each collectible in the collection comes in five types of rarity: Carbon, Platinum, Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby. An individual who gathers five items of the same rarity by the "Activation Deadline" will earn an Immortal Statue of that rarity. The mystery boxes can be unlocked from the Reveal Date, which is December 14, 2021.
