Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys Prepare for Second Preseason Clash

The Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys are set to face off in their second preseason game on August 16, 2025, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Both teams have decided to rest their key starters, providing an opportunity for backups and roster hopefuls to shine.

For the Ravens, Cooper Rush will start at quarterback, getting significant playing time over backup Devin Leary. Lamar Jackson and many other starters will be sitting out this game, as part of the team's usual preseason strategy. In the kicking role, rookie Tyler Loop will make his debut, replacing veteran Justin Tucker who was released due to off-field issues. The Ravens' defense will feature young players like cornerback Andrew Booth, who scored on an interception returned for a touchdown in the previous game.

On the Cowboys' side, second-year pro Joe Milton will start at quarterback, with franchise quarterback Dak Prescott sitting out due to injury management and offseason load considerations. Brandon Aubrey will handle kicking duties for Dallas, making two field goals during the game. However, the Cowboys will be dealing with injuries to defensive backs Bruce Harmon (knee) and Christian Matthew (groin), which may impact their depth.

Both teams will be without some of their key returning starters, including Lamar Jackson for the Ravens and Dak Prescott for the Cowboys. The Ravens will also be without Derrick Henry, Marlon Humphrey, Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, and Bilhal Kone. Schottenheimer, the head coach of the Cowboys, has not yet decided on who will be the backup quarterback and running back for the team.

The game will be broadcast on CBS 11 and Telemundo 39 (Dallas) and NBC | WBAL TV (Baltimore), and can also be streamed on NFL+. Fans in Baltimore can listen to the game on 98 Rock (97.9 FM), and WBAL (1090 AM/101.5 FM), while in Dallas, they can tune into 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) or 107.5 La Grande (KMVK-FM) in Spanish.

John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Ravens, spoke highly of Cooper Rush's performance and skills. Schottenheimer, the head coach of the Cowboys, expressed confidence in Joe Milton's performance in the second half of their previous game and is eager to evaluate him further in a game scenario to gain a better understanding of him as the play-caller.

Due to NFL regulations, audio streaming of the game on WBAL NewsRadio is only available within a 100-mile radius of Baltimore City, with blackout rules applying outside this area. The Dallas Cowboys will be without Micah Parsons in their game against the Ravens due to contract negotiations and a trade request.

Cooper Rush, the Ravens' backup quarterback, is set to start for the second week running, and will be playing against his former team. The Cowboys are looking to bounce back from their 31-21 loss to the Rams, while the Ravens are not expected to play many starters in their game against the Cowboys.
