NFL Postseason: Championship Clashes in NFC and AFC, Bets, Strategies, and Forecasts
Buck Wild ** February 17, 2025** Let's dive into the playoff action and discuss some juicy storylines! The friggin' Detroit Lions losing at home, being the top seed, in a massive upset? Wild, huh? Lamar Jackson and the Ravens once again bombin' in the postseason when everything seemed to be fallin' into place for them? Brother, give me a break! The Houston Texans cryin' foul about the referees in their loss to Kansas City? The drama just never ends!
All this nonsense means we've got our championship games lined up. So, let me take a stab at predictin' who I reckon will make the Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans in a few weeks.
Gettin' Fired Up on Sunday, January 26th
'Merica's Commanders in Philly
Jayden Daniels is havin' a legendary season and he's the star of the show. The dude's already guaranteed to win Offensive Rookie of the Year and he's quickly turnin' heads after what he and his team did in Detroit. With a wild 45-31 victory, Daniels threw for 299 yards and two TDs, showin' he's got the poise and presence of a seasoned vet. He's been sparkin' up the NFL this season, with a strong arm and electric legs. He's turned around a franchise that's been in the gutter for so long and now they're just one game away from Super Bowl glory.
Daniels might say it ain't all about him, but let me tell ya, football's a team game. Adam Peters, the Commanders' General Manager, has been smart, snaggin' experienced free agents like Bobby Wagner to bring some leadership to this team. They've shown they can go toe-to-toe with the best in the NFL and this might just be the start of a long and amazing career for Daniels.
The Eagles squeaked by the Rams in a tight one (28-22), thanks to their ground game and one Saquon Barkley in particular. The runnin' back beast ran for 205 yards and two TDs against LA. The Rams couldn't live with him, man. Once again, Jalen Hurts' numbers weren't super flashy through the air, but when you've got a QB who can move like he does and can hand the ball off to Barkley, it doesn't always matter what your numbers look like.
In my humble opinion, the Eagles have got the best team on paper in the league right now. They've certainly got the best runnin' back in the game at the moment. I reckon they'll lean on Barkley again and are headin' to New Orleans for the Super Bowl.

Bills vs Mahomes Attack in KC
We've got these two meeting again in the playoffs. Whenever we think about Buffalo against Kansas City in the playoffs, we can't help but remember the AFC Championship game in 2022, where the Chiefs won 42-36 in what's gotta be one of the best games I've ever seen. To reach this stage, the Bills beat the Ravens in a nail-biter, holdin' on to win 27-25 after Ravens tight end Mark Andrews couldn't hang onto a two-point conversion that would've tied it up with just a minute to go. Give credit to the Bills' defense, who forced three turnovers, which was the key to the win.
Buffalo's been more balanced this season. They've found a solid run game with James Cook poundin' the rock and Josh Allen hasn't had to play superhero as much. Of course, Allen's still been amazing, and against the Ravens he took care of the football, which he's done so well all season, limitin' the turnovers that have plagued him and the Bills in previous seasons. The Bills won every game at home, but they know they need to go on the road and overcome the ultimate test.
We might as well go ahead and pencil in the Chiefs to be in the AFC Championship game next year. This is the seventh straight year the Chiefs have reached this stage, which is quite a feat. Once again, they were solid if not spectacular in their divisional win over the Texans. Travis Kelce, the king of the playoffs himself, once again came up clutch in the win, with 117 yards and a TD.
The Chiefs have faced a lot of flak this year, despite barely losin' a game and now bein' one game away from another Super Bowl. They have an outstanding coach and in Mahomes, Kelce, and Chris Jones, they've got players on both sides of the ball that have been there and done it in the biggest moments.
However, despite all that and the Chiefs beatin' the Bills in both the AFC Championship game and the divisional round last year, I am backin' the Bills in this one. Third time's the charm for Josh Allen and Buffalo, brothers.
Bills moneyline (@ +105)
- In the upcoming championship games, Jayden Daniels and the 'Merica's Commanders are one game away from Super Bowl glory, aiming to meet the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
- With a dominant ground game and a balanced offense, I predict the Eagles to win the Moneyline against their opponent and Over 48.5 points to be scored in the game.
