Raiders and Commanders Set for Week 3 Showdown

The Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders are set to square off in Week 3 of the NFL season, with both teams looking to secure their second win of the campaign. The game will take place at Northwest Stadium in Summerfield, Maryland, on Sunday, September 21, starting at 1:00 pm ET and will be broadcast live on FOX and can be streamed on Fubo.

The head-to-head record for the last 5 matches between the Raiders and Commanders is heavily in favor of Washington, with 4 wins for the Commanders, 1 draw, and 0 wins for the Raiders. In their most recent match, the Commanders edged the Raiders 15-17.

The Commanders' QB, Jayden Daniels, is questionable for the game due to a knee injury. If Daniels cannot play, former Raiders QB Marcus Mariota would start for the Commanders. Mariota has been signed as a backup option, following the loss of Austin Ekeler for the season due to an Achilles injury.

The Raiders have had a mixed start to the season, losing to the Los Angeles Chargers 9-20 and the San Francisco 49ers 19-22, but managed a victory against the Arizona Cardinals 20-10. Tight end Brock Bowers is expected to play a bigger role for the Raiders in the upcoming game.

Washington's defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. is also out for the season due to a quad injury, which could weaken their pass rush. However, the Commanders have recently added veteran edge rusher Preston Smith to shore up their pass rush after losing Wise Jr.

Cornerback Jonathan Jones is also questionable due to a hamstring injury for the Commanders, which could potentially impact their defensive lineup.

With both teams currently holding a 1-1 record, this game promises to be an exciting and closely contested match. Fans of both teams will be eagerly awaiting the action, and with the stakes high, it's sure to be a game to remember.
