NFC and AFC Championship Showdown: Smart Parlay Bets, Expert Betting Tips, and Accurate Predictions for the NFL Playoffs

February 20, 2025 by *The Grid***

Well, folks, the Divisional Round of the playoffs didn't disappoint. We had some unexpected surprises, like the Detroit Lions choking as the top seed and the Baltimore Ravens once again falling short. The Houston Texans are still whining about the officiating in their loss to Kansas City.

But, with these upsets, we now have our Super Bowl LIX contenders! Time to make my fearless predictions for the championship games.

Sunday, January 26th

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles

Jayden Daniels, the shining star of this NFL season, is primed to continue his reign. In a wild 45-31 win over Detroit, Daniels tossed for 299 yards and two TDs. He's turned the Commanders around from their long slump, putting them just a game away from the Super Bowl. However, Daniels will tell you it's not all about him. He's quick to credit his team, especially General Manager Adam Peters for signing free agents like Bobby Wagner to bring leadership to the team. They've proved they can hang with the best the league has to offer, and it seems like Daniels' career is just getting started.

The Eagles squeaked by the Rams 28-22, thanks to their ground game and Saquon Barkley. The all-world running back ran for 205 yards and two TDs, leaving LA wrecked in his wake. Jalen Hurts' passing numbers weren't stellar, but when you've got legs like him and a workhorse like Barkley, who needs an aerial attack?

In my opinion, the Eagles have the best squad on paper in the whole NFL. They boast the best running back in the game right now. Barkley, I believe, will carry the load once more, leading them to New Orleans.

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

Another clash between Buffalo and Kansas City. Whenever we think of these two in the playoffs, we're immediately transported back to the AFC Championship game in 2022, where the Chiefs won 42-36 in a classic battle. To reach this point, the Bills narrowly beat Baltimore, holding on to win 27-25 when tight end Mark Andrews dropped a crucial two-point conversion with just a minute remaining. The Bills' defense forced three turnovers, key to the win.

Buffalo has shown a more balanced attack this season, with running back James Cook pounding the rock. QB Josh Allen hasn't had to do it all by himself. Allen has still been brilliant, and against Baltimore, he took care of the ball, a trait he's shown all season. The Bills dominated at home but now face the ultimate test on the road.

The Chiefs are playoff royalty, with this being their seventh consecutive appearance in the championship games. They're well-coached, and they boast players like Mahomes, Kelce, and Chris Jones, who have excelled in the biggest moments. However, the Chiefs have faced criticism for barely losing games this season. Speculate all you want, but they've made it one game away from another Super Bowl.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm backing the Bills in this one. Third time's a charm for Josh Allen and the Bills.

The bold call here is the Bills. I'm feeling it's their time, third time in the playoffs, they are due one, right? But the Eagles and the over 48.5 in that game are looking like strong picks too.
