Next month, Bucharest will witness the vivification of chamber music at the Frequenza Festival.
Buckle up, music lovers! Prepare yourself for a melodious extravaganza as Frequenza Festival sets foot in Bucharest this May. The four-day musical extravaganza, slated between May 22 and 25, will shake up the Auditorium Hall of the National Museum of Art of Romania with a tantalizing mix of classical and contemporary chamber music.

The programming highlights a medley of reimagined compositions from heavyweights like Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Glazunov, as well as innovative pieces blending classical harmony with improvisation and jazz rhythms. The grand finale, "Brass Fusion," will be a genre-crossing spectacle with live improvisation performances by an ensemble of brass musicians.
Some of the performing artists gracing the stage include Kristóf Baráti, Sergio Carolino, Kevin Zhu, Jing Zhao, David Taylor, Roman Spitzer, Zvi Plesser, Pavel Berman, Elias Faingersh, Eva Bindere, and the renowned Romanian jazz artist, Sebastian Burneci.
In addition to the concerts, the festival will also host a series of free masterclasses on May 20, 24, and 25 at the National University of Music Bucharest, providing students and the public an exclusive opportunity to interact with the artists.
