ABC affiliates controlled by Nexstar will reportedly cease airing Jimmy Kimmel's show in the near future after his controversial remarks about Charlie Kirk.

Nexstar Media Group annouced they will no longer air Jimmy Kimmel's show on ABC stations for an indeterminate period after comments made by Charlie Kirk triggered their decision.

In a significant move, Nexstar has decided to pre-empt the late-night show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on its ABC stations, effective from tonight. The decision comes in response to comments made by Jimmy Kimmel about the suspect in the murder of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, which Nexstar's leadership deemed 'offensive and insensitive.'

Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old man, was charged with Kirk's killing on Tuesday. According to Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray, Robinson has been taken into custody and is facing a series of charges in addition to Kirk's murder.

The comments that triggered the preemption were made by Jimmy Kimmel on his show on Monday. In his remarks, Jimmy Kimmel tried to portray the suspect as part of the MAGA movement, and some viewers perceived his comments as an attempt to score political points.

Robinson's father asked him about the motive for the crime, and Robinson replied that there was too much evil in the world and that Charlie Kirk spreads too much hate. Robinson's mother described a change in her son's political views, stating that he had become more political and leaned towards the left, with a focus on pro-gay and trans rights.

Nexstar strongly objects to the comments made by Jimmy Kimmel regarding the killing of Charlie Kirk. The company has stated that it does not tolerate such offensive and insensitive remarks and will replace Jimmy Kimmel Live! with other programming in its ABC-affiliated markets for the foreseeable future.

This is not the first time Nexstar has taken action in response to controversial comments made on late-night television. In the past, the company has pre-empted shows for similar reasons, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment for its viewers.

As the investigation into the killing of Charlie Kirk continues, the public will undoubtedly be following the developments closely. The actions taken by Nexstar serve as a reminder that words have consequences and can have a significant impact on people's lives.
