Nexo Tournament Monetary Rewards Distribution in 2025
The Nexo Championship, a highly anticipated event on the DP World Tour, returned to the schedule this year and took place at the prestigious Trump International Golf Links on Scotland's north-east coast. Known as 'the greatest 36 holes in golf', the course provided a challenging test for the players vying for a share of the $2.75 million prize purse.
The tournament, which is part of the DP World Tour's Closing Swing and one of the toughest tests on the tour in 2025, saw Grant Forrest emerge victorious. Forrest, who pocketed a substantial sum of over $467,500, clinched the first place prize with a commendable performance.
Finishing in the top-five through four rounds earned over six figures, making the competition fierce. Players were jostling for position not only to win the tournament but also to clinch the $200,000 bonus check for topping the series standings.
Joe Dean took the second place position, earning approximately $302,500. Three players, Jacob Skov Olesen, John Parry, and Kristoffer Reitan, tied for third place, each receiving a payout of around $122,372.10.
The payout was guaranteed down to the last professional player making the cut, with anyone who made it earning more than $5,000. Those who finished in the top-10, including David Micheluzzi, Eddie Pepperell, Richard Sterne, and others, earned over $55,000.
The Nexo Championship, being the penultimate event in the DP World Tour's Closing Swing, proved to be a significant event in the golfing calendar. Despite the course having been expanded with another 18-hole championship course, the tournament was not using the new course this year.
The Old Course at Trump International Golf Links, where the tournament was played, offered a challenging yet rewarding experience for the players. With its strategic layout, which has been in use since 2012, the course provided a fair yet demanding test of skill and endurance.
