Nexo Championship Prize Money Distribution in 2025
The 2025 Nexo Championship took place at the Old Course at Trump International Golf Links in Scotland, one of the toughest tests on the DP World Tour this year. The event, a returning fixture on the tour's schedule, is located further up the coast from the golden stretch of courses that includes St Andrews, Muirfield, and Carnoustie.
The tournament, a part of the DP World Tour's Closing Swing, attracted top golfers from around the world, vying for their share of the $2.75 million total purse. The Old Course at Trump International Golf Links, titled "the greatest 36 holes in golf" by its owners, provided a challenging backdrop for the competition.
Scotland's Grant Forrest emerged victorious, earning €401,607.28, approximately $467,500, as the winner's share of the prize money. Joe Dean finished as the runner-up, earning €259,863.53, around $298,000. The third place was shared among three players – Jacob Skov Olesen, John Parry, and Kristoffer Reitan, each earning €122,372.10, approximately $140,000.
The prize money was distributed according to a standard European Tour payout, with detailed amounts descending by position through the field. The top 10 players earned over $43,000 each, with players around 69th place receiving around €4,700, approximately $5,400.
In addition to the main purse, a $10,000 bonus prize was awarded to the player who set the course record during the event. Forrest claimed this bonus for his six-under 66 round, making history at Trump International Golf Links.
As the penultimate event in the DP World Tour's Closing Swing, the Nexo Championship was a crucial event for players jostling for position to clinch the $200,000 bonus check for topping the series standings. The event marked a successful return to the DP World Tour schedule and provided an exciting conclusion to the 2025 golf season in Scotland.
