A New Era for the National Rifle Association: A Message from the New President

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is embarking on an exciting new journey, as a successful businessman and founder has taken the helm as its President. Hailing from rural New Jersey, this new leader grew up with a .22 rifle, chasing groundhogs and developing a passion for various shooting sports that has stayed with him throughout his life.

In his inaugural address, the new President expressed a commitment to restoring the NRA to greatness and fulfilling the task of perpetuating American liberty for future generations. He emphasized that it's a new day at the NRA, and actions will speak louder than words.

The President's vision for the NRA is to restore it as a trusted leader in firearms and hunter education, firearm safety, shooting competitions, and constitutional advocacy. He aims to rebuild trust within the organisation and prevent past errors from recurring.

To achieve this vision, the President plans to implement several changes. One of the most significant is the formation of a Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) to evaluate the NRA's operating structure, programs, funding methods, and communications. This committee will operate much like a Skunk Works-type group, developing cutting-edge solutions for new membership acquisition programs, improving member communications, enhancing large donor engagement, and leveraging information technology for the good of the entire association.

The President also plans to hold monthly informal virtual meetings with the board, instead of the current three meetings a year, to ensure a more open and collaborative approach to decision-making.

The President is deeply involved in politics and stays attuned to important issues at both the federal and state levels. He has collaborated closely with President Donald Trump's (R) elections and is passionate about America's heroes, including military and first responders.

In addition, the President has a strong interest in involving youth, women, minorities, and disabled Americans in the shooting sports. He hopes to foster a more inclusive environment within the NRA, attracting a diverse range of members and ensuring the organisation remains relevant for future generations.

The President's message to his sons, who are avid hunters like him, is that "All we have in life is our integrity, and you can destroy it in a minute if you're not careful." This sentiment reflects the President's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity within the NRA.

As the NRA stands at a pivotal point in its history, the new President acknowledges the critical role the organisation plays in protecting and advancing freedom in America. He welcomes readers as they join him on this exciting journey and looks forward to working together to restore the NRA to its rightful place as a trusted leader in the field of firearms and constitutional advocacy.
