News Update: Upcoming Mayoral Election Scheduled for September 28th
The runoff election for the new mayor of Bergisch Gladbach is scheduled for September 28, 2025. The two candidates vying for the position are Alexander Felsch (CDU) and Marcel Kreutz (SPD).
Voting Details
Voting for the runoff election will be based on the same voter registry as the main election. To vote, you will need your ID or your voting certificate. Voting at the voting office will be available from Monday, September 22, from 10:00 to 18:00. The voting office will close on the Friday before the election at 15:00.
Mail-In Voting
New voting notifications will not be sent for the runoff election. Those who have already requested mail-in voting for the runoff election will automatically receive the voting materials by mail. If you have not requested mail-in voting yet and would like to do so, you can contact the voting office at 02202 / 14 2888 or email at [email protected] to make a request.
Travelers who are unable to go to the voting office beforehand and the mail-in voting materials do not reach them in time before their departure cannot have their vote searched for by the election office, unless they have automatically received the mail-in voting materials for the runoff election and have confirmed this by checking the box. All others can go to the voting office beforehand.

Third-Party Restrictions
Third parties are not allowed to handle votes during the runoff election, as it is a personal election.
