In exciting news for fans of the beloved sitcom, "The Office," the first trailer for its spin-off series, titled "The Paper," has been unveiled. The new series, produced by Peacock, is set to premiere on September 5.

The main cast of "The Paper" includes a mix of familiar faces and newcomers. Donal Gleeson, who plays the ambitious journalist Ned Simmons, takes on the role of the new editor-in-chief. Other key ensemble cast members include Domhnall Gleeson as a newly hired staffer/publisher, Sabrina Impacciatore as the no-nonsense managing editor, and Oscar Nuñez reprising his role as Oscar Martinez in a recurring role, linking the new series to the original "Office."

The series centres on the struggling Toledo Truth Teller newspaper and follows a midwestern U.S. newspaper struggling to avoid closure. Ned Simmons will have to navigate constant budget cuts and motivate his team to keep the publication afloat.

Four episodes of "The Office: Next Chapter" will air on the premiere day, with new episodes being released two at a time each week. The season finale is expected at the end of September.

Unfortunately, Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, won't appear in the spin-off, but he supports the project. Other familiar characters from the original series have not yet been announced.

"The Office: Next Chapter" is set in the city of Toledo, Ohio. The series adopts the mockumentary style of the original "Office" and promises to deliver the same humour and heart that fans have come to love.
