Fresh Take:

Buddy, check this out! Ilie Bolojan, the temporary head honcho of Romania, recently hurled his warmest shoutout to Pope Leo XIV, the latestibling to claim the Holy See's throne. Here's the scoop on this auspicious exchange:

"Dear Holiness Pope Leo XIV, heartfelt congrats on your investiture to the Throne of Saint Peter. May you enjoy a long and glorious reign, dispensing wisdom and inspiring the faithful worldwide, providing solace and uplifting spirits amidst global turmoil," Bolojan's message goes.

Holy smokes, did you catch the big news? On May 8, Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, the first US-born pope in history, dodged his new papal hat, also cherishing his Peruvian citizenship because of his time spent as a missionary in that South American land.

Born and bred in Chicago, Illinois, Prevost graduated from the Minor Seminary of the Augustinian Fathers and Villanova University with a degree in Mathematics, and a taste for Philosophy, before jetting off to Rome for further studies in canon law at the Pontifical Saint Thomas Aquinas University (Angelicum). He then headed to Peru for his calling and was appointed bishop of Chiclayo, the capital city of northwest Peru's Lambayeque region, in November 2014.

Get this: In 2023, Pope Francis named Prevost as the head honcho of the Dicastery for Bishops, responsible for selecting new bishops, and President of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America. But let's hold our horses, folks. As of now, there's no tea about Prevost becoming Pope Leo XIV. The election of a Pope is a major hullabaloo spread far and wide by the media and Vatican.
