Newly Appointed Leader Unveiled at Rosenheim Police Department, Successor to Marisa Burger Identified
In an anticipated shift for the long-running German police series, "Die Rosenheim-Cops," the final season featuring Marisa Burger as secretary Miriam Stockl will air from October 7. This marks the end of a 25-year run for Burger in the show.
Burger, a cult figure known for her wit and chatty charm, has announced her retirement and her departure from the series, which she joined in 1999. Her decision to leave was made voluntarily, as she expressed in June her desire for someone who approaches the task with the same joy, enthusiasm, and creativity as she has for the last 25 years.
The 25th season, which will mark the final season with Burger as Miriam Stockl, will conclude filming in autumn 2025. Max Müller, playing police inspector Michi Mohr, will continue to be a part of the series in the final season.
As for the 26th season, Sarah Thonig has been chosen as Burger's successor. Thonig, who has been a part of the "Die Rosenheim-Cops" ensemble since 2014, will transition from her role at the reception desk to the secretary's office. This change in roles is expected to offer new dramatic possibilities for the series.
Speculation about Burger's replacement has been ongoing since her announcement. While there have been rumours of possible returns of former characters, such as Patrizia Ortmann played by Diana, no official successor to Burger’s character has been named at this time.
Despite Burger's departure, the new season of "Die Rosenheim-Cops" will continue after her departure. The identity of the new secretary remains undisclosed.
Max Müller, who has been a part of "Die Rosenheim-Cops" since the first episode, will continue to bring his character to life in the upcoming seasons.
