Anapa's New Ataman Steers the Course for the Cossack Community
In the coastal city of Anapa, Russia, a new leader has emerged to guide the traditional military and cultural community of the Cossacks. Kirill Tishevskiy, now serving as the Ataman, has taken on a pivotal role in revitalizing and leading the Anapa Cossacks.
The Role of the Ataman
As the elected head of the Anapa Cossack society, Tishevskiy acts as the chief representative of the community, both internally and externally. He advocates for the interests and rights of the Cossacks in dealings with local and federal authorities.

The Anapa rayon society, consisting of 22 primary units, including a city, two stanitsa, and 19 khutor, has seen its numbers grow to 2,700 compared to last year. This growth is evident in the increasing number of individuals studying in Cossack classes and groups, with nearly 6,000 people now participating.
Elections and Accolades
Elections for the rayon society ataman were held in Anapa, with Tishevskiy chosen as the new ataman. He has received awards from the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the All-Russian Cossack Society, and the Kuban Cossack Voisko in recognition of his contributions.
The voting assembly was attended by high-ranking officials, including Vice-Governor Alexander Vlasov, the Voiskovoy Ataman, Acting Head of the Resort City Svetlana Balayeva, and deputies of the Legislative Assembly.

Alexander Vlasov, a key figure in the region, believes Anapa will maintain its leading position in the field of Cossack development under Tishevskiy's leadership.
